He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam N. Haggar and Julia M. Haggar (Homsany); his siblings, Phillip and Eleanor Albano (Haggar); his brother-in-law Sal Albano; his sister Yvonne Colabella (Haggar); and his brother-in-law Richard Colabella.
He is survived by: his nieces, Julie Plaut (Jerry) of Canton, Georgia, Joanne McGarrh (Barry) of Henderson and Renee Chorun (Colabella) of Flemington; and his nephew Mark Colabella (Martha) of Medfield.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Saint Basil the Great Church (15 Skyview Dr, Lincoln, RI 02865). A prayer was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Saint Basil Cemetery (125 Curran Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). Father Ephrem prepared a video life history of him and presented it to him at a virtual celebration due to the Covid Pandemic, a great culmination.
Donations in Father Joe's memory, may be made to the St. Basil the Great Melkite Catholic Church Building Fund, in lieu of flowers.
