He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy L. Colvin (Burt); and his parents, Arthur Colvin and Anna Colvin (Sullivan). He is survived by: his children, Ann Marie Dunn of Tennessee, Gigi Bouvier of Pawtucket, Sandra Gilchrist of Lincoln, Donna Adamo of Pawtucket, Laura Wild of Coventry, Michael Colvin of North Kingstown, Stephen Buckless of Pawtucket, Scott Buckless of Pawtucket and Thomas Colvin of Virginia; and his sisters, Joan Russell of Texas and Carol Peace of Texas. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
