He was predeceased by: his parents, Joao Gomes and Isabel Gomes (Vieira). He is survived by: his wife Antonia Cardoso; his children, Djeury Gomes, Kevin Gomes, Djenikson Gomes, Marlene Vieira and Djanira Gomes; and his siblings, Laurinda Gomes, Lidia Gomes, Nica Gomes, Joao Gomes, Antonio Gomes, Guedi Gomes, Manuel Gomes, Lurenco Gomes, Jo Gomes and Socorro Gomes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
