We are sad to announce that on March 31, 2023, at the age of 78, Alberto Varela (Lincoln, Rhode Island) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Varela and Francisca Lopes. He is survived by: his wife Alda Mariza Varela; his siblings, Felix Moniotto and Liliane Moniotto Daf; and his children, Felix Varela, Yvonne Varela, Jean-Claude Varela, Jean Michel Varela, Lionel Varela, Marlyn Noel, Catherine Lucas, Anick "Nika" Bala, Sergio Auras and Stephane Auras. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
