In the vast expanse of eternity, Paula shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Paula farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Burns and Elizabeth Burns (Risk); and her husband Anthony A. Milano. She is survived by: her siblings, Jane Burns Johnson (Alan) of Cumberland, Kristen Burns Turner (Howard) of East Greenwich, Kevin Burns (Lynn) of Cumberland and Mark Burns (Sheila) of Cumberland; and her aunt Shirley Risk of Lincoln. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.

“I am sad Paula went to heaven. She was my good friend. I know how much her family meant to her, especially her nieces and nephews. We met by accompaning our husbands to the yearly Marine Corp reunions. We always talked about how much she respected and cared about her students. She is now in good company of our other friends who went ahead of her.”
