She was predeceased by: her son John D. Higgins, Jr; and her brother Frederick C. Stein. She is survived by: her spouse John Drake Higgins; her daughter Judith Green; her brother Richard Stein; her grandsons, Christopher N. Green Michael (Ellen), Nathan J. Higgins (Roxanne) and Aaron Higgins; her great grandchildren, Tyler M. Green (Megan) and Aislinn Lena Green; and her great great grandchild Avery Mae Green.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Masonicare Home Health & Hospice, 45 Clara Dr., Mystic, CT 06355.
