John J. Wainwright Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 18, 2024, at the age of 92, John J. Wainwright of Johnston, Rhode Island passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John J. Wainwright to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Wainwright and Ada Wainwright (Hall); and his siblings, Russell Wainwright and Mae Audette. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Wainwright (Grattan); his children, Karen Deorsey-Smith (Brian) of Cranston, RI, John J. Wainwright, Jr. (Karin) of East Greenwich, RI, Karol Gardner (James) of Deep River, CT, James Wainwright (Katie) of Windsor Heights, IA and Paul Wainwright (Sandra) of Franklin, MA; and his grandchildren, Anthony Deorsey, Jr., Ashley Hendrickson, Amanda Ghiya, Emily Wainwright, John J. Wainwright, III, Colleen Gardner, MaryHope Gardner, Maureen Wainwright, Megan Wainwright, Patrick Wainwright, Maia Wainwright and Lilah Wainwright. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Nardolillo Funeral Home, Inc. (1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Robert Bellarmine Church (1804 Atwood Ave, Johnston, RI 02919). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the St. Ann Cemetery (73 Church St, Cranston, RI 02920).
