He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara J. Caswell (Hull); his parents, John R. Caswell and Kathryn E. Caswell (White); and his siblings, David Caswell (Judy), Betty Lou Steward (Jack) and Mary Jane Olsen.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Thomas Rank (Elizabeth), Daniel Rank (Bridgett), Madeline Byrd (Jeff) and Caitlin (Evaldo) of Oliveira; his great grandchildren, Lillian Rank, Evan Rank, Maci Rank, Eliana of Oliveira and Caylani of Oliveira; and his brother Roger Caswell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
