It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph D. Barton of Jamestown, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on March 15, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Barton and Elizabeth Barton (Smith); his granddaughter Amanda Mayo; and his siblings, Bernice Arey, Al Barton and Patricia Curtis.
He is survived by: his wife Linda B. Barton (Craven); his children, Karen E. Hayes (John) of Cumberland, Kerry E. Flamand of Jamestown and Kristen E. Barton of North Kingstown; his grandchildren, Ashley Garland (Robert), Jennifer Hayes, Lindsay Rotondo (Derek), Emily LaBelle (Anthony) and Joseph Martinelli (Ally); his great grandchildren, Joshua Garland, Samantha Garland, Noelle Rotondo and Ezekiel LaBelle; and his sisters, Emma Besson of California and Elaine Blackwood of Connecticut. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Face coverings are respectfully required, and social distancing will be observed. His funeral service and burial with military funeral honors will be private due to health and safety protocols.
