It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James G. Pemantell of Jamestown, Rhode Island, who passed away at the age of 85, on March 25, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Pemantell and Mary Pemantell (O'Donnell); and his siblings, Peter, Charles and Mary Pemantell.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie Pemantell (Gracik); his children, Mary Elizabeth Titmas (John) and James L. Pemantell (Jennifer); his brother Joseph Pemantell; and his grandchildren, Brigitte Desvaux, Marcel Desvaux and Lucien Pemantell.

“Jamie...you did your Father an honorable service this morning. May you continue to do that with the rest of your life. Although he is gone from this life he will still help you even more than from before. Always keep your faith and remember your parents are still present to help you even if you cannot see them physically. I always thought you were a credit to them and yourself. It was a joy to hear you this morning. Please let the rest of the family know that we grieve with you.”

“Jim was a special person and a great baseball fan. When he was in the U. S. Navy, he attended a St. Louis Cardinal game. Sitting near the Cardinal dugout, he saw his favorite player, Stan the Man Musial, warming up prior to the game. Stan noticed Jim's wave and invited him to come over and play catch with him. Jim complied and played catch with the future Hall of Famer. He is now playing catch with Stan in Heaven. May he rest in peace along with Ann Marie. God bless him forever. Phil Sularz”
