He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Bavasso and Nellie Vallee Bavasso; and his siblings, Anthony J. Bavasso and Teresa Gingerella. He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Helander Bavasso; his children, Daniel J. Bavasso, Karen A. Stanley (Gary), Judith L. Matassa (Vincent) and Heidi J. Gilman (Michael); his sister Irene Miceli; his grandchildren, Melissa Miner (John), Ryan Stanley (Nikki), Ashley Daher (Nathan), Courtney Gilman, Kyle Matassa, Dana Matassa and Rachel Gilman; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Brady, Hayden Miner, Addison, Weston Stanley, Kylie Beique, Raegan and Bennett Daher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home (121 Main St, Westerly, RI 02891). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church (7 Elm St, Westerly, RI 02891).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church of Westerly.
