He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard J. Fontaine Sr. and Claire A. Fontaine (O'Mara). He is survived by: his children, Allison Fontaine-Trainor (Chris) and Brianna Fricker (Jay); his grandchildren, Quentin, Alaina Fontaine, Alece and Chase Fricker; his former wife Riva Fontaine; and his siblings, Lynne Brodeur (Gary), Richard Fontaine Jr. (Dawn), Cathy Frappier (Philip), Edward Fontaine and Joanne Brunetti (Bartolomeo). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
