She was predeceased by: her parents, Lena Almeida (Enos) and Antonio Almeida; and her brother Anthony. She is survived by: her husband Leo A. Plante; her sisters, Susan A. Ponte (Michael) of Rehoboth, MA and Sharon L. Vessella (Denis) of Johnston, RI.; her caregivers, Stacy, Rama, Cheryl and Kathy; and also, Celeste, Iris, Michele, Ola, Athena and Jenna.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Lifespan Cancer Institute at Rhode Island Hospital or Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.
