He is survived by: his wife Nancy Tanner (Baton); and his children, Diane McKeen of Richmond, Arlene Waren of Lacey Washington, Dean Baton of Hope Valley, Theresa Tanner of Ashaway, Elizabeth Tanner, Warwick, Charles Tanner of Richmond, Timothy Tanner of Richmond, Marie Cabeceiras of Cambridge, Kathy Hailey of Nashville Tennessee, Ralph Tanner, Jr. of Deltona Florida, Judith Whewell of Pawcatuck and Tammy Rodrigues of Pawcatuck, Connecticut. He is also survived by several grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Due to Covid restrictions a private burial with full honors will be held at a later date.
