He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor M. Campbell (Franke); his parents, Edward Campbell and Regina Campbell (Cormier); and his son Bruce Campbell. He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Knight (Charles) of West Greenwich and Linda J. Campbell of Washington; his siblings, Duncan Campbell of New Jersey and Jean Salemi of Coventry; his grandchildren, Briana Knight, Zack Peppers (Bryanne Stewart), Willow Peppers (Troy Blaine), Brian Bray, Timothy Bray and Roy Bray; his great grandchildren, Alyssa Peppers, Bailey Peppers, Travis Bray, Karen Bray, Samantha Bray, Eleanor Bray, Brianna Bray, Madison Bray and Taylor Bray; and his daughter Karen Negro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, his funeral with military honors in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter will be held at a later date and will be private.
