He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Emma Alice Place (Burdick); his parents, Harold Eugene and Adeline Place (Taylor); his children, Charles Place, Jr. and Bonnie Pelchat; and his siblings, Lawrence Place, Pauline Swafford and Ronald Place.
He is survived by: his children, Rosemary Dumas, Sherry Hull of Hope Valley, Kathy Matteson, Curnel Place of Hope Valley, Terry Cahoon (Scott) of Hope Valley and Timothy Place of Hope Valley; his brother Neil Place (Angie) of Richmond; and his daughter-in-law Sue Place. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren.
