He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Babs" Mariane Whelan (McCutcheon); his sons, Bryan Scott Whelan and Darren Robert Whelan (Susan Elaine); his grandchildren, Brittni Ferguson (Stephen Ferguson) of Shannock, RI, Katlynn Heroux (Devan Heroux) of Richmond, RI, Bryar Scott Whelan (Caterina Anderson) of Richmond, RI and Kylee Rose Whelan of Ashaway, RI.; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Bella, Parker and Wyatt.
