With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley M. Fontenault (Harrisville, Rhode Island). Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent William Merchant; and her siblings, Betty Jarvis, Connie Mowry, Lyle, Morris and Clarence "Peanut" Merchant.

She is survived by: her parent Hazel Merchant (Robinson); her children, Robin Shayer (Michael), Rhonda Fontenault (Dusty Dill), Renee Jenness (Dan) and Marcel Fontenault Jr. (Barbara); and her siblings, Pauline Tardie, Judy Gagne, Harold Merchant and Gary Merchant.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes any donations to be sent in her honor to the Overlook Nursing Home Activities Fund, 14 Rock Avenue, Pascoag, RI 02859.
