Kathleen A. Hughes Obituary

Kathleen A. "Kathy" Hughes, 58, of Harrisville, passed away peacefully June 14, 2023 in her home. She was the daughter of the late James J. and Barbara A. (Donahue) Hughes. Kathy attended Rhode Island College. She was an avid Red Sox fan, who enjoyed watching Jeopardy, learning new languages, especially Spanish, and cats. She excelled at chess, and never turned down a cup of coffee or a good lobster roll. Kathy was an exceptional aunt, and a kind hearted soul, who never missed a birthday or special event. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She leaves two brothers, James P. Hughes of Wrentham, MA and Brian J. Hughes of Cheyenne, WY; three sisters, Barbara E. Weidinger of North Providence, Mary E. Bedford of Bristol, and Jennifer L. Salisbury of Stratford, CT; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Her funeral will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Emerson Rd., Harrisville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Alliance, Attn: Wendy Pires, P.O.
