He was predeceased by: his parents, James O. Sr. Demers and Rita Demers (Choquette); and his sister Linda Hanley. He is survived by: his wife Anna V. Demers (Lariviere); his children, Gregory Demers of Warwick, James Demers III (Lynn) of Portsmouth, Darren Demers of Warwick, Leslie Levesque of Smithfield, Paige Stefanik (David) of Woonsocket and Rita Allen (John) of Harrisville; and his brothers, Dennis Demers of Florida and Henry Demers of Massachusetts. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
