It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth E. Mercurio in Greenville, Rhode Island, born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, who passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Adolf "Al" Mercurio; her parents, Lester Phillips and Ellen Phillips (Anderson); and her siblings, Ethel Cahoon, Ella Sherman, Helen Carney, Lester Phillips, Robert Phillips and William Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Mary-Ellen Cronan (Edward) of East Providence and Valerie L. Soares (Joseph) of North Scituate; her grandchildren, Patrick Cronan (Kristy), Jarrett Cronan (Vanessa), Larissa Salem (Joseph) and Leandra Moscarelli (Nicola); and her great grandchildren, Julia Cronan, Ava Cronan, Grace Cronan, Teigan Cronan, McKynlie Cronan and Liana Moscarelli.
She was the wife of the late Adolf "Al" Mercurio, to whom she would've been married for 75 years July 4, 2024 before his passing December 3, 2020 during the Covid epidemic.
