It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth A Markey of Greenville, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 3, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Langton (Colby) and Raymond Langton; her husband John V. Markey; and her sibling Shirley Ferruccio (Michael). She is survived by: her children, Susan Feeley (Richard), John Markey (Leslie), Nancy Corneau (Robert) and Linda Federowicz (Chet); her brother William Langton (Judy McCaffrey) of Punta Gorda; her grandchildren, Erin Laser, Brendan Feeley, Danielle Wood, Jeffrey Laliberte, Matthew and Jonathan Corneau; her great grandchildren, Lucas, Colby, Elliot Ruth, Sloane, James and Charlie; and her uncle Bill Langton (Judy McCaffrey).
Donations may be made to Amos House, 460 Pine Street, Providence RI 02907 in Ruth's name. Throughout the years, Ruth generously donated hundreds of her hand-knitted scarves, coordinating hats and gloves, as well as many, many boxes of personal care items to Amos House.
