He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Boswell and Charlotte Boswell (Vinck). He is survived by: his sons, John S. Boswell of Ellicott City and Eric J. Boswell (Valerie) of Johnston; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Samuel, Dylan, Preston, Olivia and Kyle.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, PO Box 326, Chamberlain, South Dakota 57326.
