We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2023, John J. Higgins Sr. (Greenville, Rhode Island) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Higgins and Annette Higgins (Carbonneau); his wife Shirley A. Foley; his sister Anne Hanewich of Cape Cod, MA; his children, Mary Anne Hildreth (Michael Lyons), Kathleen Del Sesto (Andrew), John J. Higgins, Jr. (Andrea), Karen Amaral (James), William Higgins (Jodi) and Anne Marie Higgins; and his girlfriend Bernice Pagliarini (Jo). He was also cherished by his nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 N Main St, Providence, RI 02904 where Dad received care with dignity and compassion.
