He was predeceased by: his spouse J. Wendy Nelson (Lederman); and his parents, Carl Nelson and Elsie Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Robert S. Nelson, Jr. (Tara) of Foster and Amy K. Nelson-Bryant (Steve Raymond) of North Kingstown; his grandchildren, Jack, Victoria, James and Nathaniel; and his brothers, Ronald and Roy Nelson.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Episcopal Conference Center of RI.
