We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2018, at the age of 92, Dorcas W. Lapointe (Foster, Rhode Island), born in Woolwich, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Charles Shute; her spouse Raymond E. LaPointe; her grandchild Thomas Irwin; her son Roy LaPointe; and her siblings, Caro McDowell, Londa Thompson, Mildred Reynolds, John Shute and Elmer Shute.
She is survived by: her parent Lona Shute (Mansur); her children, Linnea Ferraro (Michael) of Ashaway, RI, Daphne LaPointe (Thomas) of Reno, NV and Darryl LaPointe (Denise) of Foster, RI.; and her grandchildren, Daniel Makin, Jonathan Makin, Heather LaPointe, Heath LaPointe, Tamison Joyer, Teila Irwin, Colby Makin, Connor Makin, Emily Joyer, Wyatt Herrick and Mason Herrick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Francis Episcopal Church, 132 Peckham Lane, Coventry, RI 02816; or to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd, East Providence, RI 02914.
