He was predeceased by: his parents, John McKenna and Margaret McKenna (Sandstrom); his son William D. McKenna; and his sister Madeline Girard. He is survived by: his wife Paula McKenna (Janson); his sons, John J. "Rocky" McKenna Jr. (Pamela) of Swansea and James P. McKenna (Kristine) of Somerset; his grandchildren, Jason, Emily, Ethan, James, Nicholas and Brooke; and his sisters, Theresa Pennacchini, Dorothy Fallon, Sabina Duffy and Gertrude Rodgers.
