He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Tome Fernandes (Martins); his parents, Inacio Fernandes and Maria Fernandes (Guerreiro); his daughter-in-law Melissa Fernandes (Palmieri); and his siblings, Maria, Delmira Coelho and Joaquina Galego.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul J. Fernandes (Deb) of Coventry and Steve S. Fernades of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Nathan, Grace, Talia and Jacob Fernandes; and his brother Inacio Fernandes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
