He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel E. Sr. Simmons and Emily Simmons (Svonik); his daughter Robin Shovlin; and his sister Betty Rehorchuck. He is survived by: his wife Joan Simmons (Darcy); his children, Edward Simmons (Robin) of Myrtle Beach, SC., Scott Simmons (Maryellen) of Rehoboth, MA, Jennifer Donovan (James) of Hartly, DE., Christopher Simmons of Milton, PA and Christen Durfee (Stephen) of Catawba, VA.; his sister Catherine Oronato; and his son-in-law Dan Shovlin. He is also survived by eight grandsons, two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.
