With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Oscar M. Hicks (East Providence, Rhode Island), born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away on December 17, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marie J. Hicks (Burchard); his parents, Charles Hicks and Mary Hicks (Williams); his children, William Hicks (Joyce) of North Smithfield, Patricia Rose (Bill Barth) of East Providence, Richard Hicks (Terri) of Coventry, Carolyn Eaton of Pawtucket, Anne Burk (Steve Hartwick) of Butler, PA, Robert Hicks (Kristine) of Seekonk, James Hicks (Holly) and Attleboro; his brother Jerald Hicks; his children, Albert Hicks, Susan Hicks and Dennis Hicks; and his siblings, Louise Preston, Anna Mae Ringley, Mary Katherine Johnson, Hattie Alma Seats, Dayton Hicks, Leroy Hicks, Benny Hicks, RJ Hicks and Andy Jack Hicks. He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
