He was predeceased by: his wife Edith B. Mack (Silva); his parents, William Mack and Elizabeth Mack (Wells); his son David Mack; and his stepchildren, Hans Bump and Cynthia Emerlye.

He is survived by: his son Jeffrey M. Mack; his stepchildren, Bradley Bump and Edith Ahlers; and his pet Shebia. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.
