She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Herminio Avila; her parents, José Nunes and Maria Augusta; her son Herminio Jorge Avila of East Providence; her niece Elizabeth Maciel Nassef (Andrew) of Seekonk; her great-nieces, Lydia Nassef and Lorna Nassef; and her siblings, Amilcar Nunes, Etelvina Serpa, José Augusto Nunes and Leovegilda Nunes.
