She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacinto Bairos and Virginia Bairos (Andrade); and her godson Kevin Pereira. She is survived by: her husband Antonio DeSousa; her children, Paul (Hilary DeSousa), Lucy (John Perry), Maria (Agnelo Bairos) and Nancy (Steve Cortinheiro); her grandchildren, Melissa, Brittany, Brandon, Amanda, Jaimie, Kacie, Aden and Melina; and her great grandchildren, Addy, Julian, Axel and Declan. She is also survived by 6 brothers and 5 sisters.
