It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lidia Maria Costa (East Providence, Rhode Island), who passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel Paiva Costa; her parents, Manuel Soares Torres and Estrela Maria Torres (Rodrigues); her son Luis "Louie" Costa; and her brother Manuel Torres.

She is survived by: her daughter Lydia Poccia (Robert) of Providence; and her siblings, Esmeralda Casidor of East Providence, Viginia Moniz of East Providence, Connie Matos of East Providence and Estrela Mello of East Providence.
