He was predeceased by: his parents, Luzia Athaide (Lucy) and Manuel DeSilva; and his siblings, Henry Silva, Manuel DeSilva and Alice Cancelliere.
He is survived by: his children, John Silva and Denise Navoian of Wakefield; his grandson Mark Silva of Barrington; his former wife Ellen Alden of Wakefield; his brother Robert DeSilva of Johnston; his nieces and nephews, Tracy Feliciano, Dawn DeSilva, Keith Silva, Michael Silva, Jeffery, James, Jay, Justin DeSilva and Jason Cancelliere; his brother-in-law Robin Cancelliere; and his grandchildren, Ethan Silva, Zachary, Jenna, Kadie Navoian, Kira and Emma Silva.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) charity.
