He was predeceased by: his wife Judith A. Pangborn (Hammarlund); his parents, Joseph A. Sr. Pangborn and Cecelia Pangborn (Mathers); his son Joseph N. Pangborn; and his brother Walter Pangborn.
He is survived by: his children, Kim McLeod (Doug) of Johnston, Heather Jeanne Andrade (John) of East Providence, Timothy Pangborn (Lynn) of Newport, Jonathan Pangborn (Susan) of East Providence, Gregory Pangborn and Christopher Pangborn; and his brother Robert Pangborn. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
