He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Merandi (Andreozzi); his parents, Pietro Merandi and Concetta Merandi (Quattrucci); and his siblings, Helen Pezza and William Merandi (Billy).
He is survived by: his children, Gina Caruolo (Thomas) of East Providence, Carla Hahn (Russell) of Narragansett and John Jr. (Jackie) of East Providence.
