He was predeceased by: his father John Arruda; his stepmother Mary Arruda (Mendes); and his sister Mary Carvalho. He is survived by: his wife Carmella Arruda (Squadrito); his children, John J. Arruda of Warwick, Linda Sparfven of East Providence and Susan Nadaskay of Stuart Florida; and his sister Faith Ann Arruda.
