He was predeceased by: his parents, João Pedro Amaral and Olivia Amaral (Gouveia); his siblings, Fernanda Medeiros and Ana Maria Dwyer; and his son-in-law Robert Riccitelli.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Amaral (Mauricio); his daughters, Michelle Riccitelli (Donald Gibson) of Seekonk and Leslie Silva (João) of Seekonk; and his grandchildren, Robert Riccitelli, Jr., João-Vitor Silva, Vitoriano Silva, Vicente Silva and Valentino Silva. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
