He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel J. McCarthy Sr. and Claire E. McCarthy (Tisdale). He is survived by: his wife Linda M. McCarthy (Robideau); his children, Krystal L. McCarthy and James M. McCarthy Jr.; his siblings, Ellen McCarthy F. C. J. and Daniel J. "D. J."; and his nieces and nephews, Meaghan, Daniel III, Matthew McCarthy and Larissa Robideau.
