He is survived by: his wife Fatima Pires (Bulhao); his sons, Derik Pires (Kali Pires) of East Providence and Jeffrey Pires (Katarina Pires) of Seekonk, MA.; and his brothers, Luis Pires (Maria Pires) of East Providence, Jose Pires (Carmo Melo) of East Providence and Carlos Pires (Fatima Pires) of Sao Miguel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
