She was predeceased by: her spouse Augostinho M. Amaral; her parents, Joao Da Costa Pinheiro and Rosa DeJesus Pinheiro (Medeiros); her sibling Armondo Pinheiro; and her grandson Jason Amaral.
She is survived by: her children, Veneranda Carvalho of Seekonk, Fatima Rocha, Rosa Alves of East Providence, Alzira Mateus of Seekonk, Cathy Simmons, John J. Amaral of Portsmouth, Joseph A. Amaral of East Providence and Armand P. Amaral of Johnston; and her siblings, Ilda Pinheiro, Gloria Pinheiro and Georgina Rocha. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
