He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anthony Amaral and Anna Amaral (Mattos); his former wife Gail Smith Amaral; his brother Walter; his wife Barbara Berkiel; his children, Thomas A. Amaral (Jo-Anne Boushell), Paul J. Amaral, Leslie J. Parente (Richard Parente) and Gregory M. Amaral; his grandchildren, Danielle Fontaine, Chelsea Dreyer, Jessica Amaral, Alexandria Amaral, Jillian Amaral, Aaron Amaral, Grace and Jay Parente; and his great grandchild Shay Fontaine.
