He is survived by: his children, Linda Dorch (Kenneth) of Boston, Teresa Gilbert (Ernest) of Kentucky, Leslie Lopes-Ruffin (Frederick) of Maryland, Robin Lopes of East Providence, Jacqueline Lopez of Maryland, Gerard Lopes (Marcia Martin) of Pennsylvania, Christian Lopez (Emmanuel Lopez, Jr.) of Cumberland and Kenya; and his sister Gouana Jacqueline Lopez of West Africa. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
