Elsie J. Thimas Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie J. Thimas of East Providence, Rhode Island, born in Greenwich, Connecticut, who passed away on January 6, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John P. Thimas; her parents, Leo C. Foster and Grace M. Foster (Merritt); her daughter Carole L. Stone; and her brother John F. Woodward.
She is survived by: her children, John Thimas (Kenneth Brunelle) of Fall River, Susan White (William T. White, III), Cynthia Fernandes (Thimas) and Vivian P. Thimas of New Bedford; her sister Marie A. Jones of Port Chester, NY; her grandchildren, Stephanie M. Rezendes (Kwasi Aggor), Amie Thimas DosSantos (John), Brittany A. Hillman, Casey T. Gilbert, Jordan A. Fernandes and Olivia M. Fernandes; and her great grandchildren, Aubrey M. Johnson, Julia E. DosSantos, Kamron Aggor, Ethan Aggor and Owen Aggor.
In November of 2020, she contracted Covid 19 and survived it with the outstanding care and expertise of the staff.
