With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Louise Phillips of East Providence, Rhode Island, born in Rantoul, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2024 at the age of 72. In the vast expanse of eternity, Doris shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Doris farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph A. Phillips; and her parents, Raymond Piche and Virginia Piche (Aldrich). She is survived by: her children, Joseph Phillips (Denise) of Woonsocket, Stephen Phillips (Heather) of Smithfield and Heather Asciolla (AJ) of Warwick; her grandchildren, Derek Joseph Asciolla, Mya Victoria Phillips and Mackenzie London Phillips; and her siblings, Edna Cooper of Pawtucket and Arthur Piche.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rebello Funeral Home & Crematory (901 Broadway, East Providence, RI 02914). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (118 Taunton Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A committal service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (550 Wampanoag Trl, Riverside, RI 02915).
