He was predeceased by: his parents, Herminio Gomes and Silveria Gomes (Rodrigues). He is survived by: his wife Teresa G. Gomes (Faria); and his siblings, Jose Julio Gomes of Lisbon and Maria Henriques of Portugal. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
