He was predeceased by: his wife Gwendolyn P. Butler (Johnson); his parents, Clarence A. Butler and Sarah L. Butler (Morris); and his brother Clarence M. Butler. He is survived by: his daughter Nancy A. Hardy (Leonard) of Rumford; his grandchildren, Adriana N. Johnston of Riverside and Leonard H. Hardy, III of Illinois; his great grandchild Raven Johnston; and his siblings, Victor Butler of North Providence, Alton Butler, Louise Armstrong Walker, Kenneth Butler and Catherine Lewis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Unfortunately because of the pandemic, the induction was postponed until May of this year.
