He was predeceased by: his parents, João Eduardina and Maria Eduardina. He is survived by: his wife Maria Eduina Gonçalves (Escobar); his children, Conçeição Escobar Brum (Paul Aguiar) of East Providence, João Antonio Gonçalves of Providence, Patricia Maria Silvia (Jarrett) of Riverside and Carla Gonçalves (Thiago Valles) of Providence; and his grandchildren, Saige Silvia and Xavier Silvia.
