She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Melo and Lucia Maria Pacheco Melo. She is survived by: her sisters, Lucia Melo of East Providence, Dina Melo of São Miguel and Paula Melo; her sibling-in-law Gil Ferreira of East Providence; and her siblings, Sara Vieira (José) of São Miguel, Marcio Melo of East Providence, Antonio Melo of East Providence, Paulo Melo of East Providence, Flavio Melo (Soraia) of São Miguel, Dario Melo of East Providence and Roberto Melo of East Providence. She is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews.
